King Henry VIII

Henry became King at 18 after the death of his older brother, Arthur, and was approaching 40 when he decided to divorce Katherine of Aragon. Henry genuinely loved Katherine (and all his wives), but his love always came second to his desire for a male heir. Thomas Cromwell served as a rock for Henry, both as his chief advisor and “fixer”.
